Default UNO not detecting MIDI in or MIDI out

    Hello!

I just bought a Midisport UNO a few hours ago, and got home to try it out, hoping it would help with my latency issues as of late. BUT when I started trying to use it, I downloaded the drivers for windows 7, plugged it into the USB and the light came on, but when I plugged it into my Akai MPK61, it would not recognize the Midi in/outputs. PLEASE help! I need an interface SOON

The Uno is not going to do anything to improve latency. The latency is coming from your sound card.

When I press a key, there is a delay before I hear any sound (Latency)

The MPK61 should just be connected via USB, you don't need the Uno. I would suggest returning the Uno and looking into an upgraded sound card with ASIO drivers, like the M-Audio USB audio devices.

If you want to use the Uno, double-check the connections. They are labeled funny. To MIDI out is actually the MIDI input, and it's telling you to connect it to the MIDI Output of your external device.
