    See this thread (that has been closed):

    Now my Transit USB is made into a paperweight.

    Thanks to this "great" company. I'll never buy anything from Avid again.

    It is a paperweight in Windows 7 because it is not recognized as "Microphone" (as it is in XP) but instead as "Line". Therefore the Transit USB can't be used anymore for applications that need "Microphone", not "Line" input.
