Default Fast Track USB driver for Windows XP SP3

    Hi!

I just installed the driver for my Fast Track USB which is version 5.10.00.5114v4... The thing is when i got it installed and i try to go to its control panel, it would say on the top right: "not connected"... I could not also move the Latency. But I can hear music from it. Haven't tried recording though. Is this normal?

    Specs.
    Acer Aspire 4730z
    Operating System: Windows XP SP3
    Processor: Intel dual core 2.0GHz
    RAM: 2GB
    Fast Track USB

Is the Fast Track displayed in the Windows Device Manager or is it listed as a USB Audio Device?

OK, Manually updating the driver might help. Try this:
    1. Go to sound, video, and game controllers in the device manager.
    2. Right-click on M-Audio device and choose update driver.
    3. Do not connect to Windows update, then choose to install from a list or specific location.
    4. Next choose Don't search I'll choose the driver, and on the following page you should be able to select the M-Audio driver.
    5. When the driver is finished updating, check the M-Audio control panel again to see if it detects the device.

I have the same problem, only mine says USB Audio Device. I go through the same exact process as in this FAQ.

But at step 10, there is just USB Audio Device, I reinstall it, but the problem consist.

    GChivasMX,

This means the correct drivers are not installed or there is a resource conflict interfering with the communication to your interface. What M-Audio product do you have and what kind of computer are you using?
