I have a 10/10LT and I have a problem.
When the computer is running, I pick up what I can onlt describe as computer processing sound very quietly. When I am working on a track, this sound is still audible in the background (very quietly) and it is a distraction. I have moved the wires about so the are not running past any power leads, but still no joy. Its starting to do my nut in as I'm not really clued up on the hardware side of music production. I have KRK RP6 G2's if that makes a difference Last edited by Darren_jey; 11-03-2009 at 10:46 AM. |

Test the Delta 1010lt in different PCI slots. Please provide more information about your system as requested in this thread; this information will help us troubleshoot your issue.

Did you test the Delta card in a different PCI slot to see if it had any effect on the noise?
If that doesn't help, look into disabling CPU throttling as described in this thread: http://forums.m-audio.com/showthread.php?t=4257 What software have you been using to playback audio?

I will have to take the computer into the people I purchased it from to change the PCI slot. I will void my warranty if I do it myself. I will do that and let you know if it has worked.
I will try and disable throttling before I do to see if that makes a difference I use WMP to playback sound and Cubase 5 is the DAW I use. I am using the beta 64bit update aswell, but I had this problem when working on standard XP, so I dont think that is a factor Thanks for your help so far.

Ive tried the 10/10LT in all the free PCI slots I have and the problem is still there. Before I did that, I also notice a constant tone (only way I can describe it) when I was playing music in WMP and in Cubase.
I unabled cpu throttling aswell, no change I even bought new leads just in case, but no change. I never had this problem with my old souncard either. Kinda wish I hadn't upgraded and wasted my money.

Its stopped working all together now. Was about to finish engineering a track for someone and it started making a loud farting noise and Cubase shut down. I tried to open the Delta Panel and it wouldnt load. I then attempted to play a song and no sound came out. I have reinstalled the drivers, still nothing!!!!!! Ive had the soundcard just over a year, so I wouldnt expect it to play up at all.
Not only am I unable to make any music, I look like a right idiot. Please help me out!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I would suggest contacting the store where it was purchased for repair information.

I have but they are saying there is nothing they can do about it because I brought it on 28th Jan 08. Evn though I didnt install it into my computer ntil November 08 (due to moving house)
If its not one thing its another with my setup, think someone up there does not want me making music. Dont know why I bother
