Hello,
First off I apologize for the thread I realize this problem probably has been brought up a bunch of times. So here's the deal, I recently purchased a pair of The M-Audio Studiophile BX5a Deluxe' 4 days ago to be exact. I received them in the mail yesterday evening and got them out, plugged one in, first worked ok moved on to the second one, upon switching the power on the second one I just get a large thump and sometimes a hum, which then I immediately turn off, also the LED does not come on. I have high expectations for M-Audio and i've seen in some cases that some people have had their speakers for month's before these types of problem's to occur. But for me to take them directly out of the package, read the manual and correctly set them up, for one of them to just die out on me fresh out of the box, just upsets me. I'm not trying to guilt anyone, all I really want is some headway on what I could do to possibly get a replacement or something since as a Tech posted in another thread, spare parts for the BX5a aren't made anymore. Thanks guys for reading and I appreciate the responses. Thanks. |

Since you just got them, you should contact the dealer where they were purchased for an exchange. Parts for the old BX5 are no longer available, the BX5a deluxe is a current product and parts are available.
