Question AP 192 S/PDIF Output Question

I want to be able to playback sound thru the s/pdif but 4 some reason i get no sound from it. I change the sound playback to the AP s/pdif in the control panel and when I open the monitor mixer I see the levels in the wav out s/pdif channel. I made sure the volume is up both in the mixer and on my speakers. Am I missing something? I have been using the card 4 about 2 months and everything else is fine aside from my pc shutting down randomly (I think that problem might be fixed now). the playback from the main out and monitor out is perfect and my recordings come in clean. I would just like to figure out how I can get sound coming from the s/pdif.

What device is the S/PDIF output connected to? Is it receiving clock signal from the 192 & detecting the sample rate? On the Patchbay/Router tab, what is the S/PDIF output source? Wave Out S/PDIF? Monitor Mixer?

same question here - I can see the wav signal in my SONAR Home Studio 4 view, but I can't hear it while I'm recording it and I only get one channel recording (the left one)

I'm going into a TC Electronics C300 compressor's spdif, if that helps at all.

what should be done? please a step-by-step would be great!

Dell dual core Vostro
Windows XP SP2
Intel 1.9 Ghz

Are you routing the signal to Outputs 3/4? 3/4 = the S/PDIF output. Do you see levels on the Wave Out S/PDIF channel on the Monitor Mixer Tab?

What are you recording? Do you actually have a stereo source connected to both inputs on the 192? Do you see both meters lighting up on the H/W in 1/2 column of the Monitor Mixer.
