Hello i am a new here to the community. My name is Joe
I am have a Audiophile 192 sound card and i have encounter a problem i can't seem to get rid of. The card is a year old, and during playback at times, i get this loud hiss sound/scratchy noise. I normally have to reboot my pc in order for it to work again. I have updated drivers ect.. and i meet all the pc requirements for the card. Has anyone encountered this issue? I did a search but did not find anything on this. This hiss noise gets annoying. http://www.cdrecordingsoftware.com/i...diop192_lg.jpg I welcome your thoughts & thanks for your reply ![]() ECS P4M900T-M Chipset : VIA P4M900 Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2400 MHz Physical Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM ) Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT Hard Disk : MAXTOR (500 GB) Hard Disk : ST3400620AS (400 GB) Hard Disk : ST340062 (400 GB) DVD-Rom Drive : SONY DVD RW AW-G170A DVD-Rom Drive : Generic DVD-ROM SCSI CdRom Device Monitor Type : Samsung SyncMaster - 19 inches Network Card : VT82C570 MV IDE Controller VT6102 Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter Network Card : Broadcom Corp BCM4309 802.11a/b/g Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition DirectX : Version 9.0c Last edited by mxmind; 07-26-2008 at 08:24 PM. |

The Audiophile may be sharing an IRQ with another device on your system and this noise could be the other device interrupting the 192. Have you tried moving the 192 to a different PCI slot? What other PCI cards do you have installed on the system?
