Default using two m audio delta 1010lt

hi there

i'm using a m audio delta 1010lt card and i am mixing through an analog console by taking the direct outs from the card,so im getting 8 analog outs plus the s/pdif outs for a stereo chanel in the mixer.

i need another 10 outs more to my mixer so that i would have the chance of mixing 16 chanels + two stereo chanels so that i can group the other tracks from the software to the stereo chanels (i hope yall understand what im trying to say!!! )

so can i use another delta 1010lt card to the same computer (two 1010lt cards in one machine)- in order to get 20 outs to my mixer?
please reply........thanx

What operating system are you running? What DAW software are you running? You can install up to 4 Delta cards on the same system, however, Pro Tools M-Powered does not support multiple interfaces; and multi-card sync hasn't been fully qualified with the latest driver (5069v3) for XP SP3 & Vista 32bit; however, I've done some basic tests with this driver and was able to successfully record and playback through multiple cards.

To sync multiple Delta cards you need to connect the S/PDIF out of the first card to the S/PDIF input of the second. This would only leave you with 18 outputs, 2 of which are digital. Do you have a digital mixer or an external D/A converter? If not you'd only have 16 outputs.

Pro Tools does not support multiple interfaces. Some users have reported that it does work on certain versions, check out this thread; you may also find more information on Digidesign's Forum.
